Introduction
The China Import and Export Fair, commonly known as the Canton Fair, stands as a major gateway for China’s foreign trade. As “China’s No. 1 Fair,” it plays a crucial role in promoting trade exchanges and strengthening China’s economic ties with the world. This year, Ozeol actively participated in all three phases, establishing connections with suppliers to support its mission of providing innovative clearance solutions.
Record-Breaking Attendance at the 136th Canton Fair
The autumn session of the Canton Fair saw unprecedented participation. This year, the fair attracted over 253,000 buyers from 214 countries and regions. This figure not only marked a 2.8% increase from the previous session but also set a new record for attendance, surpassing 250,000 visitors for the first time. Additionally, buyers from traditional markets in Europe and North America increased by 8.2%, highlighting the fair’s global appeal.
Ozeol’s Engagement Across All Phases
As part of Ozeol’s mission to support efficient surplus inventory management, the company engaged with suppliers throughout the fair. The fair’s three phases offered a diverse selection of products across industries:
- Phase One (October 15-19) showcased advanced consumer electronics and intelligent manufacturing.
- Phase Two (October 23-27) focused on quality home products, including ceramics and kitchenware.
- Phase Three (October 31-November 4) presented fashion, health products, and toys.
By connecting with a wide range of suppliers, Ozeol could explore partnerships that align with its goal of clearing surplus inventory while offering high-quality, innovative goods to its network.
This year, the Canton Fair emphasized products with sustainable and technologically advanced features. Over 1.15 million new items were displayed, with a notable focus on environmentally friendly designs. Exhibitors also showcased items featuring independent intellectual property—totaling 1.11 million products. This commitment to quality aligns with Ozeol’s focus on identifying high-value surplus inventory for efficient resale.
Digital Transformation and E-commerce Take Center Stage
In addition to on-site participation, the Canton Fair placed a strong emphasis on digital trade. The fair’s online platform, featuring virtual assistants and enhanced user tools, enabled over 450,000 buyers from 224 countries to connect digitally. Ozeol’s involvement included both direct participation by team members attending on-site and virtual collaboration with suppliers, strengthening its global network and supporting surplus inventory clearance for clients.
Building on this year’s success, the Canton Fair will return from April 15 to May 5, 2025. This next session promises to further enhance global trade and networking opportunities, reinforcing China’s vital role in fostering a resilient and interconnected trade environment. Ozeol is looking forward to future engagements as part of this vibrant platform for collaboration and industry advancement.
