Position Overview:  

This job consists of defining a purchasing strategy for stock global solutions in line with the company’s needs in order to prospect for a panel of coherent and appropriate suppliers at international level. The buyer’s mission is to ensure good stock management and sustainable supply for the company. Depending on the company’s activity, this purchasing Professional must find a product, all types of categories or foodstuffs at the best price.  Depending on his objectives, this professional evaluates the commercial proposals and negotiates the various terms of the contract concerning price, quantity, transport and delivery times. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Compliance and Procedure Adherence: The Buyer is responsible for ensuring strict adherence to internal regulations and purchasing procedures while upholding deadlines with precision. 
  2. Negotiation and Order Placement: The Buyer is entrusted with leading negotiations effectively and aiming to maximize the number of orders placed within specified opportunities. 
  3. Destocking Focus: The Buyer’s role exclusively revolves around managing destocking cases, ensuring efficient handling.

  5. Product Verification: Verifying the authenticity of prospected products is a key responsibility to prevent counterfeit acquisitions. 

Tasks:

  • Global Destocking Opportunities: The Buyer is responsible for handling destocking opportunities across the globe, utilizing analytical thinking to make informed decisions. 
  • Supplier Relationship Management: The role includes maintaining continuous engagement with existing suppliers listed in the system, emphasizing active listening to address their needs and concerns. 
  • Supplier Reliability: The Buyer must confirm the existence and reliability of suppliers, ensuring that each supplier meets the company’s standards. 
  • Professional Engagement: Attending relevant professional fairs associated with the activity is part of the role, requiring proactive communication and assertive communication skills. 
  • Quality Assurance: To meet client requirements, the Buyer ensures that received lots conform to specified standards. 
  • Effective Communication: Maintaining proactive communication with clients, supply chain, suppliers, sourcers, prospectors, and the support department is crucial for success. 
  • Negotiation: Expertise in negotiation techniques is paramount, allowing the Buyer to negotiate opportunities within budget constraints and maximize order placements. 
  • Document Management: The role involves efficient management of files, including samples, Proforma Invoices (PIs), Taquet files, and quote sheets, requiring proficiency in managing office tools. 
  • Non-Conformities and Litigations: The Buyer plays a role in managing and supporting non-conformities and litigations related to orders. 
  • Purchasing Procedure: Strict adherence to the proper execution of the purchasing procedure and associated deadlines is essential for the role. 
  • Commercial Oversight: Maintaining commercial oversight over the destocking sector ensures effective management.
