Your Role
As a Sourcing Agent, your responsibility will be to identify, evaluate, and procure high-quality products from a variety of suppliers. You’ll work closely with various internal teams to ensure timely and efficient procurement.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Identify Opportunities: Research potential suppliers, including vendors, manufacturers, wholesalers, and liquidators.
- Supplier Evaluation: Assess quality, condition, and marketability to determine suitability for our inventory.
- Coordination: Collaborate with the procurement and purchasing teams.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks such as counterfeit or low-quality products.
- Market Research: Stay current with market trends and competitor offerings to identify emerging opportunities.
- Forecasting and Planning: Use historical data and market insights to forecast closeout needs and develop proactive procurement strategies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities and share performance reports with stakeholders.
